Alan Wake 2: More Darkness, More Delay!

Alan Wake 2

Ah, October, the month of falling leaves, pumpkin spice, and, of course, a whole bunch of video game launches. It’s like Christmas for gamers, but without the fruitcake. And speaking of October game releases, we have some exciting news about Alan Wake 2… sort of.

You see, the folks over at Remedy Entertainment have decided to play a little game of hide-and-seek with us. Originally scheduled for October 17th, they’ve pushed the release date back to October 27th. But don’t despair, my fellow fans of eerie tales and spooky adventures. This slight delay could actually be a good thing!

In a post on social media, Remedy explained, “We’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17 to October 27. October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games. We can’t wait to show you what everyone’s favorite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week. Thanks for your patience!”

Well, isn’t that considerate of them? Now we’ll have a bit more breathing room to play Spider-Man 2 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage before diving headfirst into the Dark Place with Alan Wake. Plus, this delay might just save Alan Wake 2 from suffering the same fate as the original game, which had to compete with the blockbuster release of Red Dead Redemption back in 2010. And let’s be honest, it’s hard to compete with cowboys and undead bears.

But fear not, dear fans, because the wait will soon be over. During Gamescom, the Remedy team will treat us to a brand-new gameplay demo of Alan Wake 2, giving us a taste of the twisted journey that awaits our favorite novelist. Earlier this year, we were introduced to Saga Anderson, the new playable co-protagonist, and now we’ll get to see her in action alongside the enigmatic Alan Wake.

And if you’re itching for more Alan Wake 2 content, fear not, I’ve got your back. We’ve already dived deep into the dark, mysterious world of Alan Wake 2, with plenty of original features and interviews that you won’t find anywhere else. So, grab your flashlight, charge up your batteries, and head on over to our Alan Wake 2 hub for some mind-bending theories and exclusive insights.

So, mark your calendars, my friends, for October 27th. Alan Wake 2 is coming… just a little fashionably late to the Halloween party. Prepare to enter the Dark Place once again, where nightmares lurk and words have the power to shape reality. It’s going to be one hell of a ride!
