Use your trusty fire spell to clear the massive calcified web on the ground, revealing a tempting hole. Courageously jump in and climb the nearby ladder. Once you reach the platform, channel your inner lockpick master and unlock the chest. Congratulations! You’ve secured yourself a precious piece of Infernal Iron.
Shattered Sanctum: A Goblin’s Treasure
The Shattered Sanctum, accessed through the Heavy Oak Door at coordinates X:-106 Y:454 within the Goblin Camp, holds a trove of treasures. At the north end of the map, find your way to Dror Ragzlin’s room (X:297 Y:61) by bypassing the locked Iron Gate. Sharp lockpicking skills or Dror’s Key, looted from the goblin leader’s body, will grant you entry. Once inside, locate the Treasure Crates and claim the Infernal Iron for yourself.
Zhentarim Hideout: Secrets Beneath
Prepare for some underground adventure! You can enter the Zhentarim Hideout through a hatch in a building in northwest Waukeen’s Rest (X:-127 Y:617). Upon entering the basement, you’ll discover a hidden staircase behind a seemingly innocent wardrobe at X:382 Y:-260. Descend the stairs to enter the hideout. Head north to find an Iron Gate at X:304 Y:-177. Here’s where your lockpicking skills shine! Unlock the gate to unveil a trapped chest. Disarm the trap, use a lockpick, and claim your hard-earned Infernal Iron.
Grymforge: The Duergar’s Surprise
Venture into Baldur’s Gate 3’s Underdark, where a boat will carry you to Grymforge. Look out for Stonemason Kith, a proud Duergar merchant near the Waypoint. If you can pass a History, Investigation, or Perception check, he’ll reward you with an Infernal Iron. Embrace your inner scholar and impress him to acquire this precious item.

What to Do with Infernal Iron?
You’ve braved the challenges and obtained Infernal Iron. Now, it’s time to put it to good use! Seek out Dammon, a talented Tiefling blacksmith, and present him with your newfound material. Dammon can be found at X:178 Y:563 near the Emerald Grove in Act 1, and later at the Last Light Inn in Baldur’s Gate 3’s second act. He can progress the Hellion’s Heart quest from Karlach or help you create the legendary Flawed Helldusk Heavy Armor. Fulfill your destiny and become a force to be reckoned with!
