Civilization 7: Time to Unleash the Barbarians!

Civilization 7

In the world of Civilization, players have had the chance to lead powerful nations throughout history, searching for victory under the guidance of world-famous leaders. The Civilization franchise has won numerous awards and gained international prominence. But even with all this success, there’s always room for improvement. That’s where Civilization 7 comes in.

After seven long years of waiting, Civilization 7 is on its way, and the fan base is expecting more than just a fresh coat of paint. The bar has been set high by Civilization 6, and the pressure is on for Firaxis to deliver. To make a real splash with the release, some changes are needed. And what better way to shake things up than by giving the often-ignored Barbarians a voice?

Civilization’s Barbarians have always been the annoying buzz in players’ ears. They’ve been a constant, disruptive force, requiring players to divert their attention and resources to deal with their attacks. Yet, players have had limited options for interacting with them. It’s time for that to change.

With the introduction of the New Frontier Pass, Firaxis made a step in the right direction by allowing players to bribe and negotiate with the Barbarians. It gave them a bit more personality, but there’s still so much more that can be done. The Barbarians need a complete overhaul to make them more than just a nuisance.

While the rest of the civilizations in Civilization evolve throughout the game, the Barbarians remain stuck in their primitive ways. It’s about time they start growing and evolving too. In Civilization 7, the Barbarians should have the opportunity to settle and expand their territories, all while staying true to their nomadic traditions. They should become a real threat, not just an annoyance.

But why stop there? Let’s take it a step further. Imagine playing as the Barbarians and leading their grand conquest. With a victory condition focused on Barbarian domination, players can unleash their great hordes upon the world. Just like the iconic Genghis Khan and the Mongolians, the Barbarian Clans could unite under one banner and go on a rampage in Civilization 7.

After years of being treated as an afterthought, the Barbarians deserve proper representation in Civilization 7. Their gameplay needs a complete revamp, and Firaxis has the opportunity to take the franchise to new heights by shaking things up. Civilization 7 is in development, and we can’t wait to see what Firaxis has in store for us.

So get ready, fellow gamers. It’s time to unleash the Barbarians and rewrite history like never before!
