Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Contamination Armor Guide

The Contamination Armor: A Caustic and Brutal Gear Set in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is undoubtedly one of the greatest video games ever made. When it was launched, it blew everyone’s mind with its massive scope, tactical combat, and incredible role-playing elements. This CRPG put most major titles to shame with its immense replayability, allowing players to approach the game in their own unique way.

And if the content in the base game wasn’t enough to satiate fans, Larian Entertainment spoiled us with a wealth of DLCs and updates, including new armor sets like the Contamination Armor. If you’ve been struggling to find this unique and powerful gear, fear not! I’ve got you covered with a guide that will take care of the harder parts for you.

Where To Find The Contamination Armor

Step 1 (Fort Joy): Find The Boots & Greaves On A Shipwreck

To begin your journey to acquire the Contamination Armor, head to Fort Joy along the coast. On the beach, you’ll stumble upon a shipwreck where a fierce battle between magisters and an elf named Daeyena is taking place. Regardless of your actions, Daeyena is the one in possession of the Boots and Greaves of Contamination.

Help Daeyena defeat the magisters, and then get an elf party member to eat part of one of the magisters to learn the Trigger Spores skill. This skill will come in handy for the rest of the quest. At this point, you and Daeyena will part ways, with her keeping the Boots and Greaves of Contamination… for now.

Step 2 (Reaper’s Coast): Create The Gauntlets By Using Trigger Spores

Continuing on the quest, you can reunite with Daeyena along the Reaper’s Coast. She will show you how to create the Contamination Armor by using Trigger Spores on another enemy magister. This results in the creation of the Gauntlets of Contamination. Here’s the fun part: you can fight Daeyena and claim all three pieces of the Contamination Armor for yourself!

Step 3 (Reaper’s Coast): Head To The Blackpits To Find The Cuirass

Make your way to a hill overlooking the Blackpits. You’ll spot a magister there, wearing the coveted Cuirass of Contamination. You have a choice: you can either steal it sneakily or engage in glorious combat to claim it. Once the magister has been defeated, you can loot the Cuirass from their lifeless body.

Step 4 (Arx): Enter Reimond’s Basement For The Helm

Near Reimond’s abode, you’ll find a sneaky trapdoor hidden among some bushes. Enter the trapdoor to discover a research laboratory filled with enemies ready for a brawl. Once you emerge victorious, you can loot the Helm of Contamination to complete the set.
