Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 6 May Expose Anime Issue

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Takes Us on a Wild Ride Through Time

DBZ: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot lets us relive the epic adventures of Goku and his friends as they navigate the events of Dragon Ball Z. But did you know that there’s so much more to the Dragon Ball series than just DBZ? In fact, the sixth DLC pack promises to take us beyond DBZ and into the other series, revealing some of the anime’s timeline issues along the way. Buckle up, because we’re about to witness a wild ride through time!

The Dragon Ball Timeline – A Web of Confusion

Goku and Uub

Dragon Ball Super is often seen as a direct sequel to Dragon Ball Z, but it’s actually an interquel that takes place during the 10-year time jump in DBZ’s Peaceful World Saga. This means that Uub, the focus of the end of DBZ, never actually appears in Super, as he’s still a small child during that time. So, if future DLC seasons cover the events of Super as leaks suggest, we’ll be jumping back in time and scratching our heads trying to make sense of it all. It’s like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded!

On the other hand, Dragon Ball GT is a more traditional sequel that follows the events of the Peaceful World Saga. However, GT is not considered canon to the manga on which Super is based. Including content from both Super and GT in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s third season of DLC would be quite the challenge for developers. It’s like mixing oil and water, or trying to do the Fusion Dance alone. The struggles of canon and timelines might be a headache, but hey, at least it keeps us entertained!

The Strange Ending of the Peaceful World Saga

We’re diving into the end of DBZ with the Peaceful World Saga. While it’s a logical conclusion to have Goku train Uub to protect the Earth, the ending leaves us with more questions than answers. Without the events of Super, we’re left with a 10-year gap where the storyline is left shrouded in mystery. And then, Goku decides to ditch his family and friends to train a brand-new character. It’s like Goku forgot he had a whole squad of loved ones waiting for him at home. Not cool, Goku, not cool.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s sixth DLC will shed light on the confusing nature of Dragon Ball’s timeline. It might make the events of the Peaceful World Saga feel a bit underwhelming, especially if it’s the game’s final content. But hey, even though this DLC might be shorter than others, it’s still a reason to celebrate. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has covered the events of DBZ more thoroughly than any other game in the franchise. Kudos to the developers for taking us on this wild ride through time!

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
