Hitman: The World of Assassination Update – Death Wall Bug and More Fixes!

Greetings, fellow assassins! IO Interactive has just released a new update for Hitman: The World of Assassination, and boy, does it come with some interesting fixes and updates. Let’s dive right into it, shall we?
Death Wall Bug – A Wall that Kills!
The most notorious bug fixed in this update is what we like to call the “Death Wall bug.” Imagine poor unsuspecting NPCs meeting their untimely demise as soon as they come near a specific wall. Where is this wall, you ask? Well, ironically, it’s in the morgue of the Isle of Sgail.
IO Interactive definitely didn’t want anyone else but Agent 47 to be responsible for the mysterious killings in the game. They tried to fix it by adding some extra collision along the wall, but characters kept dying instantly. So, what did they do? Oh, they boxed the wall in! Talk about removing a deadly temptation.

“We could see that NPCs were able to step just outside of the navmesh bounds (basically the area that they are allowed to be), and although we tried a few other changes, the Death Wall kept on claiming victims,” explained the developer in the update notes. So, they decided to surround the wall with “a bunch of boxes and stuff” to keep those unsuspecting NPCs away. Safety first, right?
But here’s the kicker, the Death Wall is still there and waiting for more lives to claim. So, stay frosty, my fellow assassins!
More Hilarious Fixes and Updates
In addition to the Death Wall bug, IO Interactive has resolved some other amusing issues in this update. One of them involved Dino Bosco, who would immediately depart the world of assassination through the quickest possible route (through the floor) if 47 ever snapped his neck in his trailer. Talk about a dramatic exit!
Another issue resolved was Agent 47 getting stuck in a box in Colorado after subduing an NPC from cover. It seems our infamous assassin needed a little help to escape a sticky situation.
