Mass Effect 5 Director Teases Fate of Fan-Favorite Character, Sending Fans into a Tizzy
Hold onto your helmets, Mass Effect 5 fans! Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster of emotions as the sequel’s director, Michael Gamble, dropped a cryptic update that has fans buzzing with excitement and anxiety.
Twitter user @shinobi602 started the frenzy by expressing their love for the Mass Effect 5 trailer, and Gamble, true to his enigmatic nature, responded with a tantalizing promise: “We’ll do right by you.” Cue the collective gasps and heart palpitations of ME fans everywhere!
But Twitter user @_CoolMist had burning questions that needed answers. They asked why Liara was there, what was the deal with the N7 insignia, who were the mysterious crew in the distance, and what alien races were joining the fun. However, they also posed an important question: “Is Liara happy all these years later?”
And that’s when Gamble unleashed emotional chaos with his ambiguous response: “Happy…I mean. Depends.” Suddenly, ME fans were plunged into a meltdown, clutching their hearts and whimpering at the thought of their beloved Liara suffering over the years.
Others on Twitter were quick to empathize, with one user exclaiming, “Gosh, Michael, not the emotionally ambiguous answer! I can’t take this!” Understandably, fans desperately want their favorite characters to be happy, successful, and devoid of any regrets in life. Can you blame them?

Unfortunately, Mass Effect 5 is still in pre-production as of June 2023, leaving fans in suspense. But fear not! Bioware has promised a “spectacular new” approach to the series, so it’ll undoubtedly be worth the wait.
