The Most Terrifying Sith That Never Were in Star Wars

Jar Jar Binks

Every Star Wars fan has heard the rumor that Jar Jar Binks was intended to be a Sith Lord. Although never confirmed, just the thought of it raises some interesting questions. Imagine the unexpected cunning and dark power hidden behind those bumbling actions! The concept of Darth Jar Jar is both intriguing and hilarious.

Throughout the sequel trilogy, we were teased with the possibility of Rey turning to the Dark Side. Her connection with Kylo Ren made it seem almost impossible for her to resist the allure of the dark temptations. Besides, being a Palpatine added another layer of uncertainty. If she had chosen the path of darkness, she would have been an unstoppable force to reckon with.

Ezra Bridger

Ezra Bridger, the Jedi from Star Wars Rebels, danced upon the edge of the Dark Side. Playing with the Sith Holocron made him grow more brutal in his fights, even using his powers to manipulate others. The potential for his fall to the Dark Side was evident, and if he had embraced it completely, he would have become one of the most vile Sith in the galaxy.

Mace Windu

Mace Windu, portrayed by the legendary Samuel L. Jackson, always carried an aura of the Dark Side. His anti-hero demeanor and willingness to take extreme measures set him apart from the traditional Jedi. Beheading Jango Fett right in front of his son and choosing to kill Darth Sidious rather than bring him to justice are just glimpses of what Mace Windu would be capable of without restraint.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn, unlike other Jedi, developed a unique connection with the Living Force. His dedication to the belief that the Jedi Council was losing its way allowed him to communicate beyond the grave, passing the knowledge of becoming a Force ghost to Yoda and Obi-Wan. Now, imagine someone tapped into that power, willing to use it for the Dark Side. It’s a dangerous possibility.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi disillusioned with the Order, did not succumb to the Dark Side. Instead, she became a neutral Force user, rejecting both the teachings of the Sith and the Jedi. However, when placed under a dark spell, her latent anger and combat prowess were unleashed. If Ahsoka had given in to the Dark Side, the galaxy would have witnessed a devastating rampage.

Yoda, one of the most powerful Force users in Star Wars history, was a beacon of Light Side wisdom. He bested Count Dooku, stood his ground against Darth Sidious, and trained countless Jedi in the ways of the Light. But just imagine if Yoda had fallen to the Dark Side. A 900-year-old Sith Lord, with the survival skills to outlast a galaxy of enemies, relentlessly training new apprentices. Truly terrifying.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi Master who faced Darth Maul, defeated General Grievous, and left Anakin Skywalker to his fate on Mustafar. Obi-Wan’s mental strength and skills as a warrior were unparalleled. If he had ever turned to the Dark Side, his formidable abilities would have made him a truly devastating foe, tarnishing the legacy of the Jedi.

Luke Skywalker

The last hope of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker possessed the potential to end the Light Side as we know it if he had fallen to the Dark Side. Trained by Obi-Wan and Yoda, he carried the weight of the Rebellion on his shoulders. In the Mandalorian finale, we witnessed Luke’s astounding display of power against the remnants of the Empire. Had he succumbed to the darkness, the Rebellion would have been utterly crushed.

In a galaxy filled with villains, these heroes flirting with the Dark Side would have been a force to be reckoned with. Fortunately, they chose the path of Light and continue to inspire us with their heroic deeds.
