Street Fighter 6 TMNT Skins: Absurdly Pricey!

The Controversial Costumes of Street Fighter 6 x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Now, before we dive into this, let’s get one thing straight – Street Fighter 6 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles teaming up is pretty awesome. But, like any good crossover, it’s not without its fair share of controversy. So, let’s talk about these controversial DLC costumes that have got everyone worked up.

First off, let’s address the elephant in the room – the price. Each DLC costume will set you back about $15, or 750 Fighter Coins. Not too bad if you’re just looking to grab one, but if you want the full set for Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello, you’re looking at a whopping $60 or 3,000 Fighter Coins. Ouch!

Now, you might be thinking, “Hey, can’t I just grind my way to these Fighter Coins?” Well, technically, yes. But let me tell you, it’s going to take you a looong time. Like, longer than waiting for a new season of your favorite TV show. And let’s be honest, who has that kind of patience? Not this gamer, that’s for sure!

But hang on a second, let’s put things into perspective here. These are just costumes we’re talking about. Not DLC characters or anything like that. Some players have rightly pointed out that other games have done TMNT collaborations at a fraction of the price with even more substantial content.

Take Injustice 2, for example. They added playable Turtles to their roster for just $10, and you got all four of them! And let’s not forget Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, where you could play as all four turtles for free. Free! Now that’s a deal worth celebrating, my shell-shocked friends.

But regardless of the controversy, Street Fighter fans are still hyped. The first DLC character, Rashid, was added last month, and the second one, A.K.I., is on the way later this year. So there’s still plenty of action to look forward to in the world of Street Fighter 6.

In our very own GameSpot review, Jason Fanelli summed it up perfectly by saying, “I can’t get enough of Street Fighter 6. It’s been my last thought when I go to bed and my first thought when I wake up.” Now that’s dedication! The game offers a beautifully constructed fighting system, with modes that cater to all levels of seriousness, from the intensely competitive to the downright ridiculous.

So, if you’re willing to shell out the big bucks for those TMNT costumes, go ahead and express your turtle power in Street Fighter 6. But if not, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of turtle-kicking action to be had!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go practice my Hadouken. Game on!
